Hulk Hogan fala sobre os gays no wrestling e da amizade com Pat Patterson

O The Huffington Post enttevistou Hulk Hogan e um dos temas de conversa foi a presença de gays no wrestling. Hogan disse: "I think everybody's been reeducated, so it's not that big a deal. At least for me -- and I can only speak from my heart -- I've got people all around me who are gay, so it's not an issue with me. I think the whole world feels like that now."

Hogan também comentou a amizade que tem com WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson que é um dos poucos gays assumidos no wrestling:

"I knew Pat was gay back in 1976, when he helped me start wrestling. Whenever I see Pat, I give him a big hug and kiss. He's my guy! There are several wrestlers in Japan who are gay. I've just never looked at it as anything weird. It was normal."

Hogan also indicated that the once-standard archetypes have been broken down and have no place in pro wrestling, on or off the camera. Hogan said, "That barbaric mindset we inherited is not a set piece in people's minds."
