WWE tinha grandes planos para medalhista olímpico mas este preferiu lutar no UFC

Henry Cejudo, que foi medalha de ouro no wrestling olímpico em 2008 confirmou ao MMAJunkie que tinha proposto de contrato da WWE mas que preferiu lutar no UFC.

Antes de tomar a sua decisão, Cejudo estava previsto se encontrar com oficiais da WWE no SummerSlam e onde eles tinham ideia de fazer dele o próximo grande babyface latino e onde ele iria substituir Rey Mysterio.

Cejudo disse ao MMAJunkie.com:

“It was something that was actually in the works. One of their talent scouts (Gerald Brisco) saw me, met me, and wanted to bring me in for an audition or whatnot.”

“I’ve always watched WWE ever since I was a little kid. But MMA right now is my No. 1 priority. Maybe WWE in the future, but as of now, I’m sticking straight to the UFC and my fighting career. It might be worth trying it out some day, but as of right now, I solely train and think about MMA.”
