Chris Benoit será referido na segunda edição da Enciclopédia da WWE
É conhecida a tentativa da WWE se distanciar do nome Chris Benoit com esta a praticamente a eliminar todos os vídeos onde este participa e somente apresenta o seu nome nas listas de campeões e pouco mais..... Benoit tinha sido mencionado na primeira edição da enciclopédia da WWE lançada em 2009 onde se dizia que ele perdeu o título Mundial para Randy Orton em 2004. O segundo volume do compêndio terá novamente o nome de Benoit conforme foi confirmado pelo autor Kevin Sullivan
O autor questionado no twitter se Benoit seria referido, ele respondeu: "Yes, he does."
"It's not right to pretend he didn't exist," he said when asked whether Benoit's history can be acknowledged by WWE. "It's one thing to include him as part of a historical perspective, which I believe is okay, and it's another thing to promote him, which is not okay.
"The situation is very similar to that of O.J. Simpson—despite his controversy, O.J. was still a part of the NFL scene. You can't deny that he existed."
