Mais sobre a TNA fazer uma proposta a CM Punk

Foi reportado por Dave Meltzer que a TNA tinha feito uma posposta através de um intermediário a CM Punk. A proposta era semelhante à que já haviam feito a Alberto del Rio quando ele saiu da WWE em Agosto. Depois de publicada a noticia, o PWinsider contactou várias fontes na TNA que negaram a história. Meltzer mantém a sua versão dos factos e diz que Punk não mostrou qualquer interesse na posposta da TNA. Meltzer ainda disse que como a TNA levou uma nega ela não iria admitir que fizeram esta posposta pois estão a meio de uma negociação de um novo contrato de TV e admitirem isso seria como que se dissessem que são uma promotora incompetente e que não conseguem contratar um lutador livre.

Meltzer disse: In response to PWInsider.com refuting his story, Meltzer wrote, "The other story is obviously true and I didn't think it was that big a deal since he showed no real interest. Look at common sense. You're trying to make a TV deal. There is a free agent out there who is one of the biggest stars and you're denying contact with him? In other words, are you saying you're an incompetent promotion? It was how many minutes after Del Rio got fired that they tried to get in touch with him? But they didn't as least try to contact Punk while trying to close a deal?"
