Sting fala do que o mantém a lutar e porque se juntou à TNA

Sting deu uma entrevista ao Wrestle Shark. Eis os Highlights....

His thoughts on being the first inductee to the TNA Hall of Fame: "Very humbling. Humbling because there are so many other guys, the Samoa Joe’s, the AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, James Storm, Jeff Jarrett, who were here before I was. They helped build a foundation for this company, so for me to be inducted first, was humbling in that way…and just humbling anyway. I was kind of like ‘am I being put out to pasture here or what?’ [laughs] plus I’m an active wrestler still…so it seems kind of weird to be inducted into the hall of fame while you’re still working."

Amid the constant rumors of retirement, what keeps him coming back to TNA?: "The group of men and women under the TNA roof, the fans, the brand, I just feel content here. The home has been good here; Dixie Carter, the Carter family have been great to work with over the years and Dixie is very persuasive."

What brought him into TNA in the first place: "I was out for five years…the way wrestling ended was not good in those days. I got a phonecall from the Jarrett family, then I had a meeting in L.A with Jeff and Dixie…as a matter of fact Kurt was there at that meeting. Again, Dixie was very persuasive, being willing to make it right in terms of scheduling, the time on the road, of course money is an issue, it just all came together. And I love the brand…that’s all there is to it. It was like a now or never moment for me."

His thoughts on how TNA has grown since then: "I still love the brand, its grown, its matured, its blossomed. Its turned into something which takes us into 120 countries now. At the beginning we were in the Fairgrounds in Nashville Tennessee."

How to make TNA a household name?: "Taking the show on the road, I think last year at Wembley, the TV tapings at Wembley were a great example…I wanna do the same thing in the United States, it’s what we used to do! I think there is potential for that to happen in 2013."

What’s left to accomplish?: "I would like to see TNA Impact Wrestling become a household name in the United States. We seem to be a household name here, I want that to happen in the states…I think if we go out on the road there is a lot of potential for that to happen."
